obligation

I haven't written here in a while. I got home early today thinking that maybe I would score a few minutes for writing--perhaps I could add a couple of paragraphs to my assignment for Barbara, or maybe just write here. But then Joe comes in with groceries and asks me if I'll help cook (a rarity). How can I say no? And of course, I also need to be grading (what else is new?).

I'm eating too much. Just scarfed down the remains of the Pringles and am waiting a bit too eagerly for dinner now. I'm going to be ballooning up nicely any minute if I'm not careful.

Joe and I had a really great weekend--the nicest one we've had in quite a while. We were alone for most of it, which was a fantastic change as far as I was concerned. We "bonded" as Joe puts it, by picking out landscape materials and hanging some pots on the fence out by the deck. We also had some really wonderful sex, especially last night when he seemed so into it, into me, even going out of his way to give to me orally, something he doesn't normally do. We also had a bit of a talk last night about my trust issue, which he said he understood. He swears he's "being good," and that all of that is over. But he says he understands my need to check up on him. I hope so.
